About our founder
Born in Istanbul, Yasemin Ozkan-Shires has found varied inspiration from experience working in the Mediterranean, UK and USA. From a family of architects and creatives an inherent artistic background led to formal training as a landscape architect in Turkey, and latterly in residential garden design at the Oxford College of Garden Design where she obtained a first-class postgraduate degree.
‘I have learnt masses working with Yasemin. Yasemin helps me turn my ideas into detailed construction drawing giving me absolute confidence in their build-ability. While respecting my own creative process she continuously asks searching questions and offers numerous great suggestions. As a result not only do my tender packages look fantastically professional but the design themselves are always stronger.’

YASEMIN’S DESIGN JOURNEY
Just after graduating from Oxford, Yasemin joined Iona Hilleary Landscape Design then she joined Arne Maynard’s studio to work on a range of private gardens in Britain, the USA and the Europe. Yasemin combines a wealth of experience working in top design studios with a passion for construction detail and expert Vectorworks skills to help other designers turn their concept plans into detailed construction drawings. From digital master plans, to specific construction detailing Yasemin’s rigorous attention to detail helps other designers feel confident in the feasibility of their designs. As well as collaborating with other designers Yasemin is now offering full design services at her own studio.
